London Calling Project

Background

It is thirty years in December since the release of the now infamous London Calling album by The Clash.

The artist Ray Lowry who died in October last year designed the iconic album sleeve.

The Proposal

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the London Calling album and the life of Ray Lowry there will be a very unique art exhibition staged in the heart of London.

The Clash- Royal Mail Stamp Collection

The Royal Mail has released a collectors edition of twelve stamps of classic covers, from The Clash to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells.

Sam Lowry , Ray's son was interviewed and gave his comments on the stamps, see the attached links
