Top UK artists create new works to honour Rock n’ Roll cartoonist

Paying tribute to Ray Lowry, 30 artists, including Tracey Emin, Nick Hornby, Billy Childish, Harry Hill, Paul Simonon and Humphrey Ocean, create reinterpretations of The Clash’s iconic ‘London Calling’ album cover.

Background

It is thirty years in December since the release of the now infamous London Calling album by The Clash.

The artist Ray Lowry who died in October last year designed the iconic album sleeve.

The Proposal

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the London Calling album and the life of Ray Lowry there will be a very unique art exhibition staged in the heart of London.
